From the Head of Special Education Services:

From the HOSES Desk
Dear Pumicestone Families,
I am delighted to reintroduce myself as the Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) at Pumicestone State School. I've returned to my substantive role and feel incredibly grateful to be working again alongside our passionate staff, our amazing students, and their supportive families.
I'd like to sincerely thank Miss Batty for the incredible care, dedication, and leadership she brought to our Inclusion team here at Pumicestone. Her work has made a lasting difference for both students and staff, and we are truly grateful for her contribution. We wish her all the very best as she begins her next chapter.
Last week, Miss Batty, Miss Hughes and I attended cross-school NCCD moderation at Chancellor State College. We shared Pumicestone's inclusive practices, received valuable feedback, and celebrated the great work our team is doing to support students with diverse learning needs.
If you have any questions about the NCCD or your child's support at school, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm looking forward to reconnecting and continuing the important work of championing inclusion atPumicestonee.
Warm Regards,
Elyse Szasz
Head of Special Education Services
